Candidate for Board of Education

·         My personal goal as a board member is to work to improve communication between the Avon Board of Education and its constituents.

Personal information:
· Avon resident for 16 years
· BS with honors from St. Joseph College (Child Study)
· MA from St. Joseph College (Education)
· Mother of four children, three attending Roaring Brook School and one attending Avon Middle School
· Employed as a teacher by West Hartford Public Schools since 1986, currently teaching sixth grade science at Sedgwick Middle School
· West Hartford Teacher of the Year finalist 2003-2004
